    My parents used to read the night before Christmas every Christmas eve to me and my sister and then me and my sister would take turns reading the book to each other.

    Every night 30 minutes before bed my parents would take me and my sister upstairs and read part of a book of our choice. It really made me want to read books.

    When I was a kid I would read to my dogs because I thought they enjoyed it.

    Scholastic book fair was always a great week. There were a bunch of books and you got to look at them during school. A lot of the books I read in elemenatry school were from the book fair including swindle, captain underpants and so on.

    I used to l leave notes around the house if I wanted to tell somebody something. I would leave them all over the place just for fun.
  • Runaway Ralph

    Runaway Ralph
    Runaway Ralph is a book about a mouse that runs away from home on a motorcycle and it is single handily the coolest thing I have ever read in my entire life. I have probably read the book 100 times. I love runaway Ralph.
  • Albums

    When I first buy a record I like to listen to all the way through and then go back and listen to it again while reading the lyrics to further breakdown the songs. It also gives record a more personal feel. I have done this since I was a kid.

    in 4th grade I was forced into a book club where we had to read some really bad books just because I tested into it. It made me not want to read at all
  • Magazines

    I would read guitar world magazines during free reading times at school instead of books because I found them much more interesting. I would also check them out from the library all the time.

    In elementary school I was put into a spelling bee. The whole grade watched as the spelling bee started. I got a word that I knew but since I was nervous I couldn't remember how to spell it and I didn't want to be a nerd.

    I read music and transcribe it to guitar tablature to play it.
  • Shakespeare

    I played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet in 9th grade english and had to remember all the lines. It was acted out in the front of the class and was probably the worst "play" ever.

    for my cousins wedding I had to make a little speech so I had to really think about what I was going to say so I didn't look stupid. In my speach I went to say sit and instead I said shit and it did not go well.
  • Song Writing

    Writing songs and making music is a great from of expression. Inspiration can strike anywhere. There are so many different kinds of songs for all different moods and that's whats great about music. Songs are like very short books but you can tell the whole story in that amount of time.

    After I read Lord of the Rings it inspired me to write my own book. I wrote about 3 chapters and then read it to my sister. It turns out I basically just ripped off Lord of the Rings and put myself in it.

    My senior year we had to read the Andromeda Strain which sounded like a horrible book. the first chapter was horrendous. As it went on it got a lot better and I ended up really liking the book

    My senior year I took a creative writing class and I ended up liking it. I wrote papers about back to the future and heroin. I also attempted to write an authentic paper about the vietnam war. My teacher was very helpful and helped me write my best.
  • Harry Potter

    The first time I picked up harry potter I didn't expect it to be good. It turned out to be a really interesting book and a page turner at that. I ended up reading the whole series.
  • Mom

    My mom reads a bunch of romantic novels. which are horrible. She probably averages a book a week. She reads for hours and hours. Books have always been in my house.
  • Letter

    On senior night for football I had to write my parents a letter to thank them for all they've done. I took a couple of weeks to make sure it was perfect and then gave them it. It was basically about how supportive and awesome they are.

    My dad likes to read biographies on people that interest him. Seeing him reading biographies made me want to read them. now if I read a book it is most likely a biography about a rockstar.
