During the renaissance there were 3 different social classes. The first one was nobility which was nobles being smart and very educated. They also pleased the prince. Next social class was townspeople who worked everyday of their life. The last and lowest class were the peasants who worked on farmland and did not make as much money as the other classes.

Only upper class boys would attend school to learn and every now and then a poor boy could attend only if they were smart. As the school boys grew they grew up to trade or be a merchant.

A man named Sandor Botticlli created the painting of Mars and Venus. The painting has two gods laying down. Each god represents something one represents the God of War and the other one represents the God of Love. This is a powerful painting because it has a strong meaning and message.

Corruption with the Church
During the renaissance the church had plenty of problems. One of the biggest problems was the church selling things tricking people into giving them money. Such as selling them indulgences which they pay for themselves or someone to get into heaven quickly when they pass. Martin Luther nailed 95 theses on the doors of the church to prove a point. When Martin did this people were not happy with him. The church was one of the people wanting him to recant his theses. It didn't make Martin give up. But the church found his action disrespectful towards the church.

Martin Luther was a strong believer of Christ. He strongly believed that salvation comes through the faith of Christ. He did not believe in indulgences, he thought they were dumb and pointless. This was the painting I drew in class it was drawn by Pieter Bruegel. In the picture it takes place sometime in the winter and you see a couple of men with their dogs coming back from a hunting journey. All the men in the picture look drowsy because they did not kill anything big.

The first flushing toilet was made in 1596 by Sir John Harrington. It was first called the water closet. The toilet was first made for Queen of England but the toilet had many issues such as it leaking all over the bathroom floor. Leonardo DeVinci had thoughts about making a toilet with pipes going through the walls. His idea was pushed away from the public.
