Invention timeline

  • Railroads

    Railroads
Description- a permanent road laid with rails, commonly in one or more pairs of continuous lines forming a track or tracks, on which locomotives and cars are run for the transportation of passengers, freight, and mail. It changed the country because it allowed people to travel across the country faster, it also allowed people to transport raw materials and goods more efficiently. It is still used today for the same purposes
  • Morse Code

    Morse Code
Description- Morse code is a method of sending text messages by keying in a series of electronic pulses, usually represented as a short pulse This changed the country because it paved the way for long distance communication and it also was like an early for of text messages Morse code is still used today in the military.
  • Telephone

    Telephone
Description- a system used to send speech or data over distances using a device called a telephone that functions as the transmitter and receiver. This changed the country because it allowed for people to communicate with each other at anytime. The operator would listen to the conversation however, in order to disconnet the phone call once it was over Telephones are still used today and now you can communicate with anybody anywhere in the world.
  • Phonograph

    Phonograph
Description- The phonograph is a device for the mechanical recording and reproduction of sound It changed the country because now people could record themselves saying important messages instead of writing letters. Instead of using phonographs today people use their phones or recorders.
  • Typewriter

    Typewriter
Description- a machine for writing in characters similar to those produced by printer's type by means of keyboard-operated types striking a ribbon to transfer ink or carbon impressions onto the paper. This changed the country because now people could type letters and messages instead of handwriting them. It could have alos cleared up confusions in un-legible handwriting. Instead pf typewriters computers are used today.
  • Electricity

    Electricity
Description- The physical phenomena arising from the behavior of electrons and protons that is caused by the attraction of particles with opposite charges and the repulsion of particles with the same charge. It changed the country because it led the way for telegraphs along with many other inventions. It is still used today to power alliances along with many other things.
  • Light bulbs

    Light bulbs
Description- . The incandescent light bulb turns electricity into light by sending the electric current through a thin wire called a filament. Filaments are made up mostly of tungsten, a metal. It changed the country because now people did not have to carry torches or a candle everywhere that they went, and it also made places more safe because it made them brighter so people could see their surroundings better. It is still used today for the same purposes
  • Iron electric

    Iron electric
Description- A clothes iron is a small hand-held appliance with a handle holding a flat, roughly triangular surface that, when heated, is used to press clothes to remove creases. This changed the country because it allowed people to un-wrinkle their clothing faster instead of having to steam it. Irons are still used today for the same reasons.
  • Radio

    Radio
Description- Image result for radio description
Radio is the technology of using radio waves to carry information, such as sound, by systematically modulating properties of electromagnetic energy waves transmitted through space, such as their amplitude, frequency, phase, or pulse width. This changed the country because now people were able to listen to music wherever they could get a signal and people could listen to the news via the radio The radio is still used today for the same purposes
