1992 Summer Olympics
On October 17, 1986, Barcelona was selected to host the 1992 Summer Games over several competitors. Before that time, they might have done some preparation to compete with others, but I tend to agree they started their project at the time formally. It is the only Olympic Games held in Spain.

Casino Admiral, San Roque
