  • Karl Popper's Birthday!

    Karl Popper was born in Vienna, Austria. This Marked the Birth of one of the greatest philosophers of the 20th century. He was raised by parents from the Jewish origin. His Father was a successful lawyer and mother pursued her loved of music
  • Second Diploma

    After four years he received his second degree qualifying him to be able to teach mathematics and Physics in a secondary school setting. After this he soon started his doctorate program at the University of Vienna.

  • Marriage

    He married Josephine Anna Henninger who supported him in all his endeavors. They decided at a young age that kids were not in their future and sadly died in 1985 yet lived a full life!

    Popper finally published his pride and joy, Logik Der Forschung. The was controversial book since it went against The Vienna Circle regarding scientific methodology. This book covers falsification and the use of scientific methodology. In 1959 this book was finally translated for the English community.

  • The Poverty of Historicism

    Popper wrote many books but this was one that stood out. This book covered and critiqued the current scientific methodology of Historicism. It also covers the idea that historicism is dangerous and bankrupt.

    Popper was very uncertain of his career path growing up and initially became a cabinet maker! This year he received his first degree in Primary School teaching.
