    Bonaparte and his army marched into Italy. He soon discovered his army was badly outnumbered. The plan was to march into Italy and isolate parts of the Austrians and take over each section.

    The concordat was an agreement appointed to Napoleon by the Catholic Church. The document stated that the church was back because of all of the reforms in the Revolution.

    Defeat of the Battle of Leipzig

    Yet again Napoleon was defeated in Leipzig, Saxony. The battle was fought against Austria, Prussia, Russia, and Sweden. The defeat was triggered by Napoleon setting up troops in Germany which caused his army to fail and his line of communications was weak in Leipzig.

    Napoleon wanted to step down for his son, but his attempt was not considered and he was exiled and sent to Elba.
