Jumping Into History! 70's

  • Disney World Opens

This resort was developed in the 60's, but not opened until 1971. Disney World was designed and developed by Walt Disney. It was built to supplement Disney Land in California. Disney World was built in Orlando, Florida.
The creation of Disney World was important because of its entertainment. The only entertainment then was movies, radio shows, and bands and choirs. People didn't really have things to do during this time period, so this was most people's main place to go in Florida.

The attendance yearly is over 52 million people.
Disney World is still very popular in present time. It is the most popular vacation site in 2017. It was also the most popular in the 70's also. Disney also makes movies with Pixar which is also a huge entertainment for people now.
If I was at the creation of Disney World, I would have made a few changes. I would have made more grown up rides because older people would want to ride too. Also, I would have made another section of the resort.

The resort would just be for the hotels for attendees that visit.
  • Completion Of The World Trade Center

Completion Of The World Trade Center
The World Trade Center was a complex of seven buildings, and was finished in 1970. The construction began in 1968 on the north tower and on the south tower on 1969. The south tower was 1,362 feet tall, and the north was 1,368 feet tall. The buildings were thought of in 1939, but forgotten until 1959. The buildings were very known for their height when they were first built. These buildings could also hold 50,000 workers and had over 200,000 visitors a day.

The Bombing in September 11, 2001 was a big factor in America. 2,996 people were killed, and more than 6,000 were injured in the attack. There were efforts from most people in Manhattan to help with the tragedy. There was also another bombing on the world trade center in 1993.

The Twin Towers were only the tallest buildings for less than a year, when being passed by Chicago's Sears Tower. Philippe Petit, a daredevil, walked a high wire between the two buildings.
If I was at the creation of the World Trade Center I would have had some changes. I would have made the towers more spread out. I would have also made less windows in the towers so they wouldn't be so fragile. Those are the changes I would have made if I was there for the creation.
