    The people who got credit for making the telephone was Alexander Graham Bell, Antonio Meucci, Elisha Gray, Johann Phillip Reiss, Innocenzo Manzetti, Charles Bourseul, Tivadar Pukas, and Thomas Edison. They were some of the people that "made" the telephone.

    Now Alexander didn't make the first phone. It was Antonio Meucci. He invented the first basic phone, but Alexander invented a better telephone so his telephone got the patent award in 1876

    The telephone was made by Alexander Graham Bell. He was a scientist and learned about sound. He finally figured out that he somehow wanted to send voice signals into a telegraph wire.

    One of the fist Mobil phones that you could actually carry was invent in 1973. Even though it seemed really small a long time ago, it weighed about 2 pounds and would look humongous next to today's phone.

    Texting appeared in 1992, then in 1998 ringtones and alerts came, after that emojis came the following year.
  • The new kind of phone.

    In 2007 Apple's CEO Steve Jobs made the first modern smart phone and it made world wide emails and of course calling and texting.
  • The emergency alert.

    People usually carry phones for safety which doesn't sound right, right? But it is!, the government wanted to make an alert system in 2008 in case of an emergency.
