    In the 50s boats were styled to look like cars. Boats started to be made with fiberglass, because it could be made into shapes. Some boats were modeled after future space travel.

    Boats have been upgraded from when they first started.Prehistoric boats started off rafts and canoes. Boats just started being made with fiberglass. Boats went from paddling to motorized.

    Engineers were trying to make higher horsepower engines. They introduced v-hulls to the boat. Boats were still be modeled as cars.

    Boats stopped being modeled by cars. People began competitive racing. Boats built in the 1970s were in great condition and some are still in perfect condition.

    Designs were very boring and dull. Many brands were dying out and going out of business because of the economy. The IMS (International Measurement System) was made, it's purpose was to allow the boats to drive faster.

    Sport boats were becoming very popular. They were solid, because fiberglass was too heavy. They replaced it with Airex, Klegecell, and Divinycell. Later fiberglass was too expensive so they changed it to e-glass.

    Boats began having TV put in, because of our technological advances. Engines began becoming more popular. GPS were being build in to every boat to help drivers.
