    French Revolution

    The people of France stand up against the king and the church and try to get rights that are equal for everyone. The process is violent and very destructive. It all ends with the people killing the king and queen and getting some of the things they wanted. Things start to go downhill after this and it gets hectic. The people end up needing a leader so they hire a war hero named Napoleon to be their emperor. He ends up making mistakes and gets his title taken away and gets exiled to an island.

    After the Estates General, which was a gathering of all the estates, the third estate meets in a empty hand ball court. They were upset about the outcome of the Estates General so they pledge to never stop fighting until they have the rights they want. After this all of the violence and problems start occurring.

    King and Queen try to Escape France.
    The king and queen of France are now being held captive in a mansion in the heart of France. They know that they will be seen as powerless and get things taken from them so they try to escape to the queens homeland of Austria. They dress as peasants and get in a carriage and make it all the way to the border of France. They are about to make it when one of the guards recognizes the king. After this the king and queen are seen as traitors and the people are very upset with them.

    Robespierre was a "leader" of the French Revolution. He started the Committee of Public Safety which was a group of people trying to help deal with the problems of the revolution. Once the king dies, the people listen to Robespierre and believe most of what he says. This makes him go a little crazy causing him to make lists of "traitors" of the war. He makes up a big list but keeps doesn't say who's on it. This causes the people to freak out so they guillotine him. After this the revolution ends

    Napoleon Tries to Defeat Russia
    After conquering most of Europe, Napoleon wants to try to take Russia. So he gets a troop of 600,000 and travels to Russia. The Russians know that they can't fight Napoleons troops so they use the "Scorched Earth Policy" which means they burn the buildings and farms that Napoleons troops would have used for food and shelter. Napoleon keeps trekking on with his troops falling apart. When winter hits Napoleon decides to go back. He returns with 20,000 people leaving the French people very upset.

    Napoleon Returns from Elba
    After the Russia fail, Napoleon gets exiled to an island called Elba. While he is gone the other countries but another King Louis back on the throne. This makes the people upset. Napoleon makes his way back to France and the people are very happy to see him. They let him lead one more battle which fails. After this he gets exiled very far away and never to be seen again. The countries surrounding France decide to make the Balance of Power so nothing like Napoleon would ever happen again.
