    Declaration of Rights
    The Declaration of Rights was created in May but was not passed till August of the same year. It's said to to be a fundamental document of the French Rev and civil rights. The Declaration highly influence Jefferson creating the Declaration of Independence. It was highly influence of the work of the enlightenment movers. The Declaration most concludes of natural laws but it's better than nothing.
  • Meeting of the Estates General

    Meeting of the Estates General
    This was the first meeting of the estates general since 1614 so when the King called it together it frightened some people. It's a meeting representing the French estates and realm. They are made up of The Clergy (1st estate), The Nobles (2nd estate) and The Common Folk (3rd estate). Whenever the Common Folk tried to change some things to made their liver better because they are the poor 97% of France but they all got one vote so they always got out voted 2-1, which made The Common Folk mad.

    The Third Estate of the Commonwealth banned together and vowed to not separate or disband until they were given change. They wanted less taxes, some rights and a new constitution.

    The Storming of Bastille
    The French people got so mad that they wanted change fast so they stormed the Bastille, the Bastille is a Fortification on the Middle of paris that also acted as a jail and execution place. The People were "victorious" getting the Base and Used weapons inside the Bastille against the soldiers of the King.

    March on Versailles
    On this day 7,000 working women, they were armed with pitchforks, pikes and muskets. They marched through the rain and mud from Paris to Versailles, to a beat of a drum they chanted "Bread! Bread! Bread!". Despite France's fertile soil the was an all time low of food because people could not afford it because of wars and outrageous spending.

    This was a time period in which there was a lot of violence and bloodshed. This occurred during the end and after the french revolution. This made a conflict between two political factions, The Girondins and the Jacobins which caused mass executions. It ended with 16,594 with 2,639 in paris alone.

    Rise of Napoleon and the Creation of an Empire

    Napoleon grew through the french ranks fast during the french revolution. After seizing political power in 1799 coup d’état and later crowned himself emperor in 1804, but Napoleon was not a regular person he took the crown from the pope and crowned himself. This shows that he "has more power" than the pope, this was symbolic and put some fear into his enemies.

    Napoleon's Empire Starts to Fall
    Napoleon's empire started to fall and show signs of weakness when he lost the peninsular war. He also showed weak points in the invasion of Russia, this is important because Napoleon pretty much ruled the world. He also had many Alliances form against him so he didn't get to powerful.

    The congress was convened in 1815 by the four European powers which had all helped in defeating Napoleon. They wanted to establish a new balance of power in Europe which would prevent imperialism within Europe, Napoleon and maintain the peace between the great powers.
