    Frederick Engels was a remarkable German political philosopher who was inspired by Hegel's systematic idealism. The son of a textile manufacturer Engel became a socialist after witnessing bias conditions of British factory laborers while managing his father's factory in Manchester, England. The conditions he witnessed would shortly after influence Engel to write his first major work The Condition of the Working Class in England and others to follow.
