John Pemberton invented Coca - Cola on May 8 1886. John fought in the Civil War, and at the end of the war he wanted to invent something that would bring him success. -
(Invention) Mail Box
Philip B. Downing invented the first street letter drop mailbox on October 27, 1891. The point of this was to make for a much safer way to send out letters or documents. This was possible for him to do this by a man named Downing who was an African-American inventor, that patented his new device.
