    Egypt and Syria were determing to win their territory back, so they launched the Yom Kippur War, which was a surprise attack against Israel. Israel was not prepared for an attack, so the U.S. helped them and ended with both sides agreeing to caese-fire.

    Egypt wanted peace with Israel, so presidents went to Camp David. They reached an agreement and the treaty had ended 30 years of hostility between Egypt and Israel.

    Palestinian youths were joined by Palestinian security forces with guns. Hamas sent suicide bombers into Israel to attack civilians. Israeli's ended up sending troops backed by tanks, fighter jets, and helicopter gunships into cities in the West Bank and Gaza.
