This war began in 1967 and ended in 1973. Israel took control of the Golden Heights, Sinai Peninsula, Gaza Strip, West Bank, and East Jerusalem. Israel gained control of land in the West bank and Gaza with a large Palestinian population. -
West Bank Barrier
Israel decided to build a barrier to separate the West bank from the rest of Israel.This was built because they wanted to keep terrorist and suicide bombers out of Israel to protect the people. Israel was accused of separating the Palestine state but there are other ways to get into state. -
Lebanon war
Hezbollah is a group that is committed to destroy Israel.There was a 34-day military conflict in Lebanon, Northern Israel and the Golan Heights. The conflict had started on 12 July 2006, and had continued until a United Nations-brokered ceasefire went into effect in the morning on 14 August 2006, though it had formally ended on 8 September 2006 when Israel lifted its naval blockade of Lebanon. -
Battle of Gaza
There had been a lot of tension when the Hamas was elected. In June, Hamas had attacked Fatah members throughout the Gaza. The Palestinian President Mohmoud Abbas dissolved the Hamas goverment.The Western sanctions to the Palestinian Authority had also been lifted. -
Gaza War
The conflict started on 12 July 2006, and continued until a United Nations-brokered ceasefire went into effect in the morning on 14 August 2006, though it formally ended on 8 September 2006 when Israel lifted its naval blockade of Lebanon. This was a three-week armed conflict between Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and Israel that began on 27 December 2008 and ended on 18 January 2009 in a unilateral ceasefire.
