  • End of French and Indian War

    End of French and Indian War
    England will become indept with all the money used to pay for supplies to fight in the war. The British thought that the Colonist should pay for these cost. With the colonist being heavily taxed they become angy with Great Britian which led to the colonist wanting to be independent.
  • Sugar Act

    This act was passed to the colonist from Great Britian to gain even more money to pay off the dept from the French and Indian War. This act was a taxation that wasnt passed by the colonist representation .Which forced the colonist to pay taxes on sugar products. This angred the colonist
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This act again taxed the Colonist without representation. The Stamp Act tax the colonis on printed items and added extra fees that were unnessary to printed materials such as legal document s and newspapers. This act was the first direct tax on the colonist.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    This act was established by Great Braitan that was passed down to the 13 colonies. This act forced the colonial assemblies to house and provided supplies to the soliders of the army. This act angered the colonist because the british are basically occupying their homes and using up there supplies.

    This act passed to the 13 colonist repealed the stamp Act but allowed the parliment govement to still rule.
  • Townshend

    This act taxed all of the products that were imported in the colonies. For example led, paper, inc, and many other products used for everyday life were taxed. This money was used to support royal officals in the colonies. Which also removed power in the colonial assemblies.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    A mob of American colonist gather at the Customs House in Boston and they taunted the British soldiers. British Captain Thomas Preston, ordered his men to fix their bayonets. The colonists responded by throwing snowballs, and the British soldiers fired their guns.
  • Tea Act

    This Act was passed to the colonies to save the East Indian Tea company. It enabled the prices of the tea to lower but, the taxes on the tea raised. Therefore the colonist again had no say in taxation without representation. This act angred the 13 Colonies
  • Intolerable act

    Intolerable act
    This act were a series of British Laws, passed by the Parliament of Great Britain. This was aimed to punish the Massachusetts colonists for the actions taken in the incident known as the Boston Tea Party. This act forcred British soldiers in the colonists homes and the laws closed Boston Harbor.
