  • Great Awakening

    Great Awakening
    The Great Awakening is an important event because it brought new ideas to religion and brought people to think about how the King of England is running T the Colonies. The cause of the great awakening was that people stop going to church and their faith was fading away. Durring this event people started to think about how the King of England was running The Colonies and many people coming to faith. The Great Awakening ended by colonist demanding political equality
  • The French and Indian War

    The French and Indian War
    The French and Indian War brought freedom to the colonies. The war all started with the French and coloniest wanting more land so they started moving out west and pushing the native americans out of their homes and land. Durring the war several smaller wars broke out and Problimations were past. The colonist decided to fight back and ended by the colonist wining
  • The Proclamation of 1763

    The Proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 was completely ignored and that is a good thing because now we have a full country. This whole event started when the Pontiac's started to attack English settlements. They were able to take over and destroy many settlement but surrendered when they could not take over one of the camps. Britian decided to make The Proclamation of 1763 to stop settlements moving. Finally the Native Americans got tired and Britian allowed Colonist to keep moving west.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act states that Britian will tax sugar, indigo, coffe and things like that. The Sugar Act was started because it was to help pay off the debt of The French and Indian War. The colonist rebbelled. Samual Adams wrote a letter to The King disguising that it was illegal to tax the colonist. Finally Britian gave up and got rid of the Sugar Act.
  • Stamp act

    Stamp act
    The Stamp act is when Britian put taxes on all types of paper. Colonist Protested to get rid of the Act. The Stamp act showed that Colonist could stand up for their rights. The Stamp act ended by the British getting rid of the parliment, however Britian did make a law saying that they could tax the Colonist.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    The Townshend Act stop the smuggling of British Goods from Britian to The Colonies. The Act created new Vice Admirality Courts. The Colonist did not like the act, they thought that it was giving Britian to much power so they had a boycott. Well the violence faded but the Colonist still rebelled.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre is when a Colonist and a guard were arguing and the gaurd struck and killed the colonist. This is important because it showed how violent the Townshend Act was. Well the Colonist did not take this well they insulted the guard and throw snowballs at him. The ending was that the guard was charged with murder and the violence went down
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    The Tea Act is when Britian put tax on foriegn teas. Of course the Colonist did not like this at all, they rebelled at first however they were scarred that other tea companies were going to put tax on their teas as well so they stopped. This whole Tea act was created because of the smuggling of teas. Finally the Colonist could not take it anymore so they rose up together to protest against the Tea Act.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party is when the Sons of Liberty dressed up as Native Americans and dump 90,000 tons of tea in the Pearl Harbor. This event was led by the taxing of the tea. This was ended by the colonist say "Boston Harbor is a Teapot tonight!"
  • Intolerable Act

    Intolerable Act
    The Intolerable Act are three different acts the Quarting act which made the colonist house the british soilders, another was shutting down the Harbor until the british tea that was dumped was payed off, and the last one was canceling the Massachusett's charter. The leading to this event was The Boston Tea Party. The colonist write plays and letters criticize the British. At the end the colonist tried to start a boycott but it was not really supported.
  • Battle of Lexington/Concord

    Battle of Lexington/Concord
    The Battle of Lexington/Concord was the first battle leading to the Rvolutionary war. The battle started when Pual Revere and William Dawes heard word that the British were coming so they hopped on their horses and warned the Minute Man. 8 people died and 10 were injured, sadly the battle ended by the british defeading the colonist.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    After the Battle of Lexington/Concord Britian decided to plan an attack the Patriots on Bunker Hill. When the Patriots heard from their spies they met up with the british on breed hill. At the end the Colonist won.
  • Common Sense

    Common Sense
    Before Thomas Paine wrote Common Sense people thought that Britian is to be Loved. However people changed their minds after Thomas Paine wrote a pamphlet called Common Sense. The pamphlet stated that people should really think about how britian was treating them. Thomas Paine's pamphlet imprtant because it had people start thinking about being independent.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of Independence was a letter to The King of England to tell him why they want to be independent. They said that The King was unfair and that they believe that all men are equal, that all men have some rights that cannot be taken from you, and the rights areLife, Liberity,and the pursuit of happiness. The Declaration of Independence important because it states our independence.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    Battle of Saratoga
    The Battle of Saratoga was the turning point of The Revolutionary War. In this battle the British decided to use the divide and conquer stragety. Part of the british army was waiting up north to attack and the other part of the army was waiting in the sout to attack. As soon as the patriots knew that the british are going to attack they sent troops up to fight fpr independance. At the end Patriots take it for the win.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    The Battle of Yorktown was the battle that ended the Revolutionary War. British General Charles Cornwallis was defeated in the south but continued to move towards Yorktown. When the british got to YorktownThey were shocked that they were surrounded by Patriots and the French. They fought and fought but the Colonist won the battle and the War.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris was the treaty that officially ended the Revolutionary War. The treaty was signed in paris by Benfiman Franklin, Jogn Adams, and John Jay. The document states that the United States of America is an Independent Nation. It also states that England could not control us anymore. And the War was finally over.
