    Unfortunatly, De Vaca and his crew members are excptionally bad at steering and navigating. They end up landing in present day Alabama. He has less than 100 crew members due to lack of food, and dehydration. They are desperate, and are the first ones to set foot in Alabama.

    De Vaca and the Indians
    De Vaca is very desperate and wants anything to feed his army of crew memebers. He ends up meeting the Choctaw indians, who are very fierce, but can also be very rarely kind. In this case, the weren't kind. The indiana plan an attack on the Europeans, but the Europeans end up firing back at them and killed almost one- fourth of the tribe.

    De Vaca and the Gold
    After De Vaca kills most of the tribe, he orders the rest to find Gold. There were many who fough back, many who refused, but those you did were hanged and burned at stake. De Vaca ended up with a few tons of gold. He soon was told that there were more gold in present day Alabama and went searching for it.

    De Vaca realizes that there are many more places to find gold, so he gets his crew ready to explore the Northwest. He makes a dozen water pouches for himself, and brings along one buffalo for when they run out of food. He is currently headed to the Chicksaw tribe.

    De Vaca has reached the Chickasaw tribe
    When De Vaca reaches the Chickasaw Indians, he notices that they are very ''wealthy'' and carry around things like gold bracelets and gold- pierced noses. He asks the Chickasaws for some gold, but they don't immadelty give it to them, they ask for a trade. The Europeans trade with the Chickasaws. He ends up going back to Europe with 12 tons of gold for the Queen and King of Spain.

    De Vaca Goes Back to Spain.
    After finding tons of gold, De Vaca decides he wants to go back to Spain so he can show how much of an accomplishment he is. He is only bringing back 50 men, but the King and Queen are going to love the tons of gold. When he arrives in Europe, he is considered important and special. His journey has triggered lots of exploration.
