  • Boston Port Act

    ~This Act only allowed food and firewood to enter the port of Boston.

    ~It was punishment for the Boston Tea Party episode.
    The colonist were enraged due to the fact that all their supplys and good come from imports.
    The British were not at all effected by this, they knew this was going to raise tensions.
  • Quartering Act

    ~This Act forced local, colonial governments to provide provisions and housing to British soldiers.
    ~This was one of the Intolerable Acts passed as punishment due to to the Boston Tea Party. The colonist felt as if they couldn't live in their own homes anymore.this was very hard for living conditions, and ultimately grew tensions between both sides
    the British knew this would spark tensions, and didnt let up.
  • Administration of Justice Act

    ~This Act suspended the right to self-govern in the Massachusetts colony.

    ~It was punishment for the Boston Tea Party incident.

    ~A military governor could send rebellious colonists to trial in other colonies without civilian interference. The colonists were infuriated by this, they felt as if they were being tried for an act they should be tried in there city and home, not as the govenor chooses.
  • Massachusetts Government Act

    ~This Act revoked the 1691 Charter of the Colonies and the Massachusetts constitution.

    ~It also prohibited town hall meetings and the election of town officials. The colonist now only limited to one meeting a year, have no plan or way of getting out of these acts.
    The British are aware of this a understood people were starting to give up.
  • Quebec Act

    ~This Act extended the boundary of Quebec and also guaranteed religious freedom to Catholic Canadians. The colonist were mad about this because when the boundary of Quebec was extended it allowed for British Canadians to flood into america.
    The British loved this because it allowed more spread of catholic.
