    Greeks defeat Persians at Marathon
    The Persians invaded Greece during the marathon to surprise them. The Persians had 20,000 to 25,000 men that fought, most of them were archers. The king of Persia Darius wanted to capture Athens and the rest of Greece. The actual reason for this is unknown but a plausible reason is he wanted to get rid of potentially troubling rebel states. The Greece army had close up men that flanked the archers and Persian Calvary never showed because the commander never used them so the Greece army won.

    Battle of Salamis
    Persians rampaged through Greek city-states and sacked Athens itself. But Greece was preparing a counter-attack for Xerxes the king of Persia at the time. Persians had 1,217 men to fight, while the Greece 365 men. This battle happen at the small island called Salamis. The Persian stopped Ionian ships from getting to the allied Greek fleet. But the Greeks won the battle in the end and from then on Xerxes forgot his ambitions to capture Greece.

    This battle was between the Greeks and Persians. This battle was for land at Thermopylae which the Greeks were defending and the Persians wanted. But the Spartan king helped the Greeks defend Thermopylae from the Persians for three whole days but the Persians eventually took control over the pass and the next knew he should press forward into the mainland of Greece.

    This treaty was between Sparta and Athens to stop the war they had any more to come. But then Sparta and it's allies became more and more jealous of Athens's power so the Sparta and Athens fought and Sparta declared war on Athens.

    Athens invaded Megara at Nisaea this is Megara's harbor. Athens did this because they were allied but Megara sided against them in a war so Athens wanted revenge and took control of their harbor.
