Midnight Ride: Revere, Cheswell, Dawes
Revere was sent by Dr. Joseph to ride to Lexington, Massachusetts to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock that the British were coming. On the way to Lexington he would alrm the country-side stopping by eavh house. Revere arrived at Leixngton at about midnight After delivering his message, Revere was joined by a second rider, William Dawes, who had been sent on the same errand by a different route.
