In these chapters, Lucan Foxblood, a human cartographer, is introduced. We also find out what is killing Malfurion. A part in the Emerald Dream called the Emerald Nightmare. Tyrande and Broll Bearmantle set out to find Malfurion and free him.

In these chapters, Malfurion's torment by a creature called Nightmare continues. Tyrande and Broll also find out that the Emerald Nightmare can effect anyone. They also run into Lucan and start traveling to Ashenvale Forest with him.

In these chapters, Lucan, Tyrande, and Broll run into a green dragon. In their meeting, Lucan is swept into the Emerald Dream. Tyrande and Broll ride with the green dragon to Ashenvale. There they are greeted by an ancient of war known as Gnarl.

In these chapters, Broll and Tyrande attempt to enter the Emerald Dream. They are attacked by a cursed dragon but they are saved by Alexstrasza. She is the sister of Ysera, who is the queen of the Emerald Dream.

In these chapters, Tyrande and Broll enter the Emerald Dream. They find Lucas who had been captured by Thura (the orc who hunted Malfurion.) Fearing for her love, Tyrande darts off into the dream. The key of the Emerald Dream, Ysera, sends herself, and another dragon whos not named rescuses Mafurion, Thura ,Broll, Lucan, and Tyrande. Malfurion forces himself to go back to his Night Elven form.
