    Battle Of Lexington and Concord
    The Battle of Lexington was a small skirmish that started the American Revolution.The British wanted to capture John Hancock and Sam Adams. Luckily Paul Revere had warned the Patriots that the British were coming The Patriots were fighting the British to buy time for them to escape, the Patriots lost the Battle of Lexington. The Battle of Concord was fought because the British were trying to find the hidden supplies, but the colonist won this battle. About 90 Patriots were killed.
  • Battle Of Fort Ticonderoga

    Battle Of Fort Ticonderoga
    The Colonist captured the Fort on May 10th 1775. The special militia that was formed was named the Green Mountain Boys. Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold both had command of the Green Mountain boys and let them to battle. The Colonist seized the ammunition, cannons and gunpowder that aided in the take back of Massachusetts.

    The Battle of Bunker Hill took place in 1775. William Prescott commanded the Patriot troops during the battle. It took the British three pushes to push back the colonists. The colonist suffered around 120 men and the British lost around 230 men. The Colonist lost one of their generals Joseph Warren in the Battle.

    During the Battle of Trenton the Colonist troops were led by George Washington. The colonist crossed the Delaware river to attack a British Garrison. George Washington attacked on the twenty-second of December. The attack was successful as it hugely increased the moral of the colonist.

    The Battle of Saratoga took place in New York. The colonist won this very important battle, with the help of their commander's Benedict Arnold and General John Stark. The Battle showed that the Colonist could fight the French, which led to them helping them in the war. This battle was considered a turning point in the war, because it left the British heavily weakened and with low resources.

    The Colonist moral was hugely raised during this battle. The Cornwallis had surrendered to George Washington because he had them pinned with the help of the French. The French was the Americans Allies during the revolution because they did not like the British. Cornwallis was the commander of the British for this battle. Yorktown was considered a major battle and the Colonist were victorious in it.
