Later, he changed the name to the National Socialist German Workers' Party called for short, Nazi. The Party went from 7 to 3,000 members.

Chancellor Bruening asked Hindenburg in July 1930 to dissolve the Reichstag according to parliamentary rules and call for new elections. The elections were set for September 14. Hitler and the Nazis sprang into action. Their time for campaigning had arrived.

The Sudetenland was of immense strategic importance to Czechoslovakia, as most of its border defenses were situated there.

    The Ravensbrück concentration camp was the largest concentration camp for women in the German Reich. In the concentration camp system, Ravensbrück was second in size only to the women's camp in Auschwitz-Birkenau. After the closure of the Lichtenburg camp in 1939, Ravensbrück was also the only main concentration camp, as opposed to subcamp, designated almost exclusively for women.
