  • Rocket Summer

    Rocket Summer
    Winter turned ro summer as a large rocket touches down next to a small town. The fire from the rocket changes the surroundings from that of a typical frigid winter town to a beach style temperature and no one seems to even mind as though this is commonplace.

    A summarization or at leat what can fit in these text boxes of the different chronicles contained within this Ray Bradbury classic.
  • Ylla

    Ylla
    Ylla and Yll , a martian couple, talk of a "dream" that Ylla has of a rocket bringing otherwordly creature that heavily resemble that of a human being. Yll all the while seems to tke this very poorly and restricts Ylla from leaving the home under any circumstance. He proceeds to go hunting and fires two shots but brings no kill home on the day of the rocket landing.

    The Summer Night
    A group of martian musicians performed a song that was never heard by any martian before and was in a language they did not understand, but they thought it was beautiful because of the telepathic connection between the coming Earth men and themselves.
  • The Earth Men

    The Earth Men
    The Astronauts reach Mars but are not greeted with celebrations nor even congratulations. The Martians treat them s though they are insane along with all the other Martians who have been hypnotized by their own telepathic ability into thinking that they are humans from Earth. By the end the Martian by the name of Mr.Xxx kills them due to the threat he believes they pose and kills himself when killing them yields no success in removing them from his perception.

    A man on Earth wants to board the next rocket to Mars so he can get away from the coming nuclear crisis. His reasoning is that since he is part of the taxpayers who funded the rocket, he may be allowed to board it for the journey. He is not allowed and is laughed at by those readying the project.
  • The Third Expedition

    The Third Expedition
    The Third Expedition shows a larger goup of astronauts coming to find Mars as a town identical to a town that one of the crew members. David recognises some of the people as his deceased grandparents and a similar occurence is noticed by the other astronauts. As the astronauts get comfortable one gets suspicious of this reality and tries to escape the house but is killed by one of his loved ones for it. A similar fate befalls the whole cew then a funeral is held by the Martians for the Earth Men

    -- And The Moon Be Still As Bright
    This is the story of the fourth expedition where the crew finds out that the mass majority of the Martian civilization as a whole was wied out by chicken pox. Spender began to talk cynically to the othe crew membes about the role of humanity on Mars and what will happen. Spender tells Wilder of his plan to kill all of the crew. Afte this captain Wilder leaves for just a few hours while Spender kills most of the crew members. Wilder and Hathaway return and kill Spender and are alone on Mars now.

    Very few wanted to go to Mars at first but as it began to be promoted by the government interest staarted to rise and as it rose, it slowly rose but at an exponential rate. The description of the journey is of the shrinkage of your home into just a small blue light and then... nothing
  • The Green Morning

    The Green Morning
    Benjamin Driscoll landed on Mars and could barely breathe so he made his lifes work to create a vast forest in order to supply the planet with oxygen. He plants thousands of seeds and after 3 days of nothing it suddenly rains and overnight the entirety of what he planted had fully grown.
  • The Locusts

    The Locusts
    The people coming from Earth to Mars are destroying the land just as they did on Earth and their means of transportation does not help matter in the slightest. 90,000 people came to Earth in this small expanse of time nearly all at once.
  • Night Meeting

    Night Meeting
    Tomas Gomez a human and a Martian named Muhe Ca meet but cannot touch each other or can either touch the others belongings. In Tomas' reality nearly all martians are gone but in Muhe's reality they are still thriving and neither can see the other's reality as true.
  • The Shores

    The Shores
    The only people who were really coming to Mars were American men and the only women expected to be going are American women.
  • The Fire Balloons

    The Fire Balloons
    A group of Fathers from the church land on Mars to attempt to bring the Martians to God. They find blue orbs of fire that seem to be sentient but do not interact. The orbs save the Fathers then they speak to them telling them of their escape from bodily vices and the closeness they have attained the Fathers interpretation of sinless.
  • Interim

    Interim
    The people that come to Mars built identical towns to the towns found on Earth, did jobs that came from Earth, and acted almost as though they had never left.
  • The Musicians

    The Musicians
    Children are discouraged from going to the towns found on Mars built by the Martians. They do not listen however and go to play. They use the bones of Martians as musical instruments and generally act insensitive to the race that theirs had unintentionally devastated.
  • The Wilderness

    The Wilderness
    Two women on earth planning to go to Mars in order to get back to their men. The two spend the day going to places that they wish to remember or that they may not have an equivalent to for a long time. One woman then speaks to her husband over a lightphone but only received one word... Love
  • The Naming of Names

    The Naming of Names
    The conventional method of naming places is highlighted such as naming something after an event or after an item or object like Spender Hill or Boot Hill.
  • Usher II

    Usher II
    A house is built that defies censorship laws and is investigated but the investigator is killed. Guests are then invited that support censorship laws and are killed off one by one in Poe-esque ways and replaced by bots. The investigator returns during this and is killed by the owner in an ode to the Casque Of Amontillado. The house then sinks just as its namesake did in Poe's story.
  • The Old Ones

    The Old Ones
    The elderly now make their way to Mars following the younger men and women who pioneered the planet.
  • The Martian

    The Martian
    A Martian came to a town and due to its telepathic and hallucinatory abilities, made itself appear as loved ones of many of the townspeople. He appeared mainly as the deceased due to the stronger want in seeing them again. This quickly grew out of hand as more and more people saw dead relatives and started fighting over keeping him which ultimately overloaded him with their memories and killed him.
  • The Luggage Store

    The Luggage Store
    The owner of a luggage store on Mars complains about having lackluster customer influx and Father Perigrine overhears. He tells the luggage store owner about the war that is going to break out very soon back on Earth. The luggage store owner doesn't believe this until he realizes the amount of customers that will mean so he prepares his store.
  • The Off Season

    The Off Season
    Sam Parkhill from the 4th expedition opens a hotdog stand but then is confronted by a Martian whom he shoots near immediately after contact. More Martians show up and he runs from them but a Martian girl manages to get in his vehicle and he promptly shootsbher when she won't get out. He destroys entire cities during the case and destroys a Martian vehicle before giving up and being told peacefully after all this that he owns half of Mars now. Australia is seen exploding directly afterwards.
  • The Watchers

    The Watchers
    Walter Gripp is a lonely man since humans have left Mars nearly lifeless and hears a phone ring. He answers it to find nothing but then again a phone rings and he answers to hear a woman's voice and they exchange location info before the phone cuts out. Both drive far to get to each other but walter isn't pleased with what he finds. Genevieve was heavy set and far too eager to find love for him so he ran off and chose lonelieness over this sole possible companionship.
  • The Long Years

    John Hathaway and his family are alone on Mars. As a rocket is seen in the sky he sets an abandoned city on fire to catch their attention. The shuttle lands and out of it comes Captain Wilder. They talk for a while but Wilder finds it odd that the children and wife are still here and confirms that they've been dead 19 years and that these are robots. He dies shortly after due to his heart condition. The wife explains after he dies they cannot feel sorrow and Wilder leaves them as they are.
  • There Will Come Soft Rains

    There Will Come Soft Rains
    An automated house is functioning as though the family living there were still within the home. Breakfast being made, wakeups being called, etc. A dog walks in through the front door and appears extremely sickly as it lay on the ground. It dies shortly after. The house reads a poem to the woman who had lived here about nature not being able to notice if humanity had fallen. After this the house was hit by a fallen tree and set ablaze and eventually destroyed except one wall that calls the date.
  • The Million-Year Picnic

    The Million-Year Picnic
    A family lands on Mars comprised of 3 sons, a mother, and a father. They came from the ruined Earth and the father burns the remnants of the rules and laws of the Earth as well as the map of its surface. The father also blows up the rocket so that no one will find them. When the father shows everyone there reflection he says "There they are, there are the Martians."
