Birmingham Campaign
Martin Luther King Jr and at least 75 others protested in Birmingham, Alabama which then ended with the violent use of police force. King was arrested. This event caught national attention.It resulted with public places not being segregated anymore in Birmingham. -
March on Washington
King gave his faomous "I Have a Dream" speech to an audience of about 200,000 people. -

Sam Cooke released his single " A Change is Gonna Come." It soon climbed the charts and became a song representing the Civil Rights Movement. It talks about how Martin Luther King brought hope for change. -
