    On September the 10, 1764 Captain Hopkins and the Sally arrived in West Africa on what is now the coast of the Guinea.

    On August 20, 1765 Captain Hopkins bought his last slave. He had purchased 196 slaves, nine of whom he sold to other traders along the coast. Twenty slaves had died. One had hung themselves.

    On the eight day out the slaves rose in rebellion. Captain Hopkins and his crew stopped the slaves by firing shots killing eight and wounding many others.

    On November 16th, 1765 the Brown brothers told Esek Hopkins that the Brown brothers were not mad at Esek Hopkins for losing 88 slaves during the venture, but they were happy that Esek Hopkins their friend was still alive.
