3rd Estate took the Tennis Court Oath
After the 3rd estate got kicked out of the Esates-General meeting, they held a meeting next door at the tennis court because they thought that the 1st and 2nd estate might be plotting something against them. They called themselves the National Assembly, and they vowed to not disband until a new constitution was made. -
Storming of the Bastille
The National Guard, which was recently formed raided a prison in Paris named the Bastille. This showed royal authority. -
March on Versailles
women rioted over how expensive bread was and how scarce bread was. They also got joined with revolutionaries who wanted liberal political reforms and a constitutional monarchy. They destroyed the town for weapons and raided the palace of Versailles. -
