Roman Emperors

  • Period: 27 BCE to 14 BCE

    Augustus (Octavian)

Augustus was a very good leader, who knew how to rule the country and took good control of military. He was a very good decision maker who thought like a military guy. Augustus had done many things; he restored the republic, stabilized Rome’s frontiers and conquered new areas. (Spielvogel, 159) People liked him because of his gentle way of ruling, like Caesar did.
  • Period: 27 BCE to 14 BCE

    Augustus Octavian

He had a reformed mind, and made lots of laws, such as “making adultery illegal, offering tax incentives to families with over three children and penalties for childless marriages”(Mark). This kind of reformed mind makes him different from other emperors who did not care about fairness and forced their ideas to citizens, and for those who disagreed being killed. After Augustus’s contribution to the Roman Empire, Rome developed further with peace for 200 years.
