  • Lexington and concord

    Lexington  and concord
    The battles of Lexington and Concord started the Revoultionary war. On the night of April 18, 1775 the British troops, that were in Boston, marched to concord because they wanted to capture their arsenal. Paul Revere was aware of what was going on and sounded the alarm, so that the soldiers get into the "redcoat column". They won their independence in 1783.
  • Bunker Hill

    Bunker Hill
    bunker hill was hed by colonists and if the british captured it they would have total control over Boston Harbor. The colonist overnight work on a high dirt wall, when the british see it they are not happy. The british fire at the sand hill but it doesn't work so the leader leads then over the hill. Even though the british were losing they ended up winning at the end, they lost 226 men and at least 180 were innjured
  • New York

    New York
    British general landed 32,000 troops on staten island. New York lost 300 men, 800 were wounded, and 1,000 were captured. despite the lost washington learned a lesson from this battle.
  • Trenton

    Trenton
    Trenton colonal Johann Rall were exhausted and unprepared for Washington'sattack, even though they received warnings. The Americans took prisoners, arms and supplies but quickly withdrew after winning. Washington had shown that he could unite soldiers from all the colonies into an effective national force.
  • Saratoga

    Saratoga was the turning point in the battle, Convinced the french to join the american side against the british. At the end Armold joined the battle and led them to attack. This caused the British to retreat.
  • Philadelphia

    Philadelphia
    Philadelpha was the headquaters of the colonies during the revolutionary war. In order to protect the city, supplies were used and ven the liberty bell was used so that the british didnt make bullets out of it. Philadelphia had been taken by the british and lost.
  • Valley forge

    Valley forge wasn't in the war but it is important. Throughout the months they were building an army to support the French. A new army anxious to fight the british caame out form valley forge into New Jersey. Rebels to a mature army.
