coal strike of 1902
Miners wanted higher wages and shorter work days. The strikers threatened to shut down the winter fuel supplies to the major cities. President Theodore Roosevelt got involved and ended up suspending the strike. Workers ended up getting a 10% pay increase and only worked for 9 hours instead of 10. -

A law that makes it a crime to adulterate or misbrand meat and meat products being sold as food. And it ensures that meat products are slaughtered and processed under sanitary conditions. -

When this begun it was mostly all workers. They focused on decreasing infant mortality. They published things about prenatal, infant, and child care.
