    Birthname is Peter Alekseyevich Romanov. He is Tsar Alexei's 14th child and is the first born child of his second wife,Natalia Naryshkin and is an heir to the throne. He was born in Moscow, Russia at the Kremlin palace.
    This event is significant because it is the birth of a future Tsar known as being powerful and having many successes towards Russia.

    When Peter was at the age of four, his father died. Tsar Alexei died of what was at first a cold, but further progressed to a longer illness that made him very weak and resulted in his death.Tsar Alexei then granted his eldest son Fyodore the position of Tsar before he passed away.
    This event is significant because the death of Peter's father puts one of Peter's half-brothers Fyodore as Tsar which makes Peter a little closer to becoming Tsar himself.

    Due to the death of former Tsar and Peter's half brother, Peter and his half brother Ivan are granted reign to become Tsars. They share power between the both of them. Peter becomes Tsar when he was ten and Ivan is sixteen.
    This event is significant because this is when Peter starts his journey as Tsar. Even at the age of ten, he's intelligent, a healthy young boy, and many people already know that one day he will be an extrodinary Tsar.(Cracraft 323-324)

    Death of Tsar Fyodore III
    When Peter was at the age of ten, his half brother and the current tsar passed away. Fyodore Alexeevich Romanov was born on May 30, 1661. Tsar Fyodore died in Moscow, Russia at the age of twenty.
    This event is significant because due to the death of Fyodore, this made his brother Ivan and his half brother Peter Tsars.

    Peter's half brother Ivan and co-Tsar dies at the age of 30. Due to Ivan's death. Peter and Ivan ruled together for about fourteen years. Peter now has all the power to himself as Tsar and doesn't have to share it with Ivan no longer.

    Peter embarks on his grand tour through Europe
    Peter organizes a team known as The Great Embassy and decides to travel to Europe to gain more knowledge to make Russia more like Europe or in other words, modernized. When on his journey in Europe, Peter was dressed in disguise so no one in the west will know that he is a Tsar. This event is significant because this is the journey Peter and his team go on to learn information about things in Europe that would help reach his initial goal as Tsar, to modernize Russia.     Peter returns to Russia after his tour through Europe with his team The Great Embassy in 1698. Peter came back to Russia with a significant amount of knowledge from Europe which includes things about shipbuilding, anatomy,medicine, and etc.

    During the 30-years war Sweden had become a great power and occupied large territories that included land with access to water for ports. One of Peter's major plans as Tsar was to gain more land due to the problem that Russia didnt have any land close to water.This event is significant because it shows how Peter was determined to get land for Russia that had acess to water for ports, which included trading, his passion for shipbuilding, and his determination to have a strong navy.(Grey 500-600)

    Due to winning access to the Baltic Sea through his victoories in the Great Northern War, Peter the Great founded the city of St. Petersburg. This city became the the new Russian capitol and was known well politically, culturally, and geographically.
    This event is significant because it shows the power Peter had because he was able to make a whole new city that became the new Russian Empire due to his victories in the Great

    George Berkeley was born on March 12, 1685 in Thomastown, Ireland. Berkeley was one of the greatest philosophers in the modern period and wrote an essay towards information on the phycology of vision. Later, he died on January 14, 1753.

He was a surgeon in the French army and later on after his military career, he published a paper that described the first syringe.He invented the fine point syringe in 1714 to use it to cure lacrimal fistula.
