Muhammad's Birth
Muhammad was born in the year 570 in the town of Mecca, a mountain town in the high desert plateau of western Arabia. His name is from the Arabic verb hamada, which means "to praise, to glorify." He was the first and only son of Abd Allah bin Al-Muttalib and Amina bint Wahb. -

Battle of Uhad
The Battle of Uhud was fought at the valley located in front of Mount Uhud, in what is now northwestern Arabia. It occurred between a force from the Muslim community of Medina led by the Islamic prophet Muhammad, and a force led by Abu Sufyan ibn Harb from Mecca, the town from which many of the Muslims had previously emigrated. Muhammad was basically defeated in this battle. -

Battle of the Trench
The siege was a "battle of wits", in which the Muslims tactically overcame their opponents while suffering very few casualties. Efforts to defeat the Muslims failed, and Islam became influential in the region. As a consequence, the Muslim army besieged the area of the Banu Qurayza tribe, leading to their surrender and the execution of all their men.
The defeat caused the Meccans to lose their trade and much of their prestige. -

Death of Mohammad
Muhammad returned to Mecca to perform a pilgrimage with thousands of Muslims. After the pilgrimage, he delivered his famous sermon which led to the conquests of Christians and Zoroastrians. In his last days, he continued to issue orders to curse Christians and Jews. He died in Medina after a brief illness and was buried in the Mosque of Medina. -

The majority of traditional hadith sources state that Aisha was married to Muhammad at the age of six or seven, but she stayed in her parents' home until the age of nine, or ten according to Ibn Hisham, when the marriage was consummated with Muhammad, then 53, in Medina.Aisha had an important role in early Islamic history, both during Muhammad's life and after his death.
