• My birthday

    My birthday
I was born in Sonora, Mexico. Around the time of 2 a.m. I had breathing problems, I wasn't even crying, so the nurse had to spank me to help me breathe.
  • My baptism

    My baptism
We have to wait for my 4th birthday to celebrate my baptism. One of my God Fathers moved to another state and he had serious problems which didn't allow him to come back on time. But gladly, he came back and we had a big party, a lot of food, beer, a music band was playing, my biggest party ever.
  • First Day of Elementary School

I remember my first day of school very well. I woke up very early that day because I was excited to know what school was like but once I got there I got really nervous, seeing so many kids that I didn't know made my stomach make weird sounds. I just wanted to go home, I almost cried when my dad left me there, but i held it back, I just sat on my seat really quiet, and I didn't talk at all that day.
  • My First Time Coming to the U.S.

I can't remember my first time coming to the US quite good, but I do remember that I came just with my mom and 2 other women. The people at the border were so kind, may be because I was little, 6 years old. But now, every single police officer or whatever is rude to me, may be because they want to show the authority the have. Anyways, when I came, we stayed at my aunt's house, I didn't know this country, so I was amazed about everything I saw, it was really different to Mexico back then.
  • My First Kiss

    My First Kiss
I was in 7th grade when I had my first kiss. I was forced by my cousin and my friend to kiss that girl. Unfortunately, that girl had a bad breath, so it wasn't the best first kiss someone would expect. I was just like 12 or 13 years old!
  • First Day At Carson Jr. High

First Day At Carson Jr. High
My first day at Carson Jr. High went by reaaaally slow, all I did was sit in the office, get lunch, and sit in the office again., the second day I went to class, I was so nervous that I wished I could go sit to the office again. Kids would make fun of me because I spoke no English at all back, now, I think I got better.
  • My First Day at Westwood

I remember it rained that day and I walked to school with my friends like the old times when all of us lived close to each other and any of us didn't drive. I was nervous and felt completely lost in the campus, compared to Carson, Westwood was really big! But fortunately I had made friends already so I wasn't that little new kid anymore. I assisted to all my classes and once I got home I crashed out all day because my sleeping schedule was all messed up.
  • Car Accident

It was an early release of my freshman year, I was cruising around with some friends. We were hungry so we decided to go to Jack In The Box. We were about to turn the all we hear is a motorcycle that crashed into us. The guy wasn't wearing a helmet and he was going fast enough to cause an accident. I'm not saying it was his fault, it was no one's fault but it's something we wish that would never have happened because that guy died. That's probably the hardest time for my friend that was driving.
  • My Grandmother Passed Away

Everything happened really fast, during the day they just told me she got sick and she had to go to the hospital. The doctor said that my mom must go see her because she wasn't going to make it alive, and that's what happened, it wasn't necessary to chop off her leg anymore. My mom took the first bus to Mexico at 8:30 p.m. and hours later my grandma passed away. It's the worst that has ever happened to me. She died at 11:05 p.m., she was 81 years old.
  • My Graduation

This is the day I've always been waiting for. After years of struggling, I have the chance to graduate even though I thought I wasn't going to make it! I'm not there yet but I won't give up, I know I can do this. The day my generation and I leave this school and become in adults. We'll have to take different paths and I know it'll be hard but I'm pretty sure it will be worth it.
