My Life :)

    Entering This World

My mom gave birth to me in a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sadly, my dad wasn't there for my birth, due to some "complications" that involved both sides of the family lol but it was fine because later that year, me and my mom moved here to AZ. That year, a few things changed for the better of our family.
  • BIrthday Party

    BIrthday Party
In our culture, being the first born child and turning one years old is a pretty big deal. Both of my families from both sides, came together to celebrate my 1st birthday. Of course, we went to church and had a ceremony of me being blessed from our late pastor, while my dad's side of the family stayed home preparing for my birthday celebration. After church was done, my parents invited everyone over to celebrate.
  • Marriage

After some time from moving here to AZ from Utah, my parents got married. Their wedding wasn't anything big, it was just a wedding where family and friends came together to witness the uniting of two people. They also had a first Sunday, which is a big deal in our culture, where the married couple come to church as one and are unified under God.
  • Sister's Birth

The day my sister was born, was the day I officially gave up the reign of being the only child. When my parents found out the gender of the baby, it was said to be a boy. So, as any other parent, my parents were preparing for the arrival of my baby "brother". After my mom gave birth, they announced it was a girl LOL and now, my sister is a tom boy who only dresses up for special events.

    Other Siblings

About 2 years after my little sister was born, my mom gave birth to another girl. After 3 years later, my mom gave birth to a boy, who was the first boy in our family, and the second grand-boy to my dad's parents, whom was named after my grandpa. Later in the next year, my mom gave birth to another boy lol and about 2 years after that, she gave birth to the brat of the family.
  • Death of a Loved One

2008 started off good, our family was graced with the birth of my first little brother, then my uncle got married and then later that year, my grandpa died of open heart surgery. I remember my family all gathering at the hospital on the 15th of December to see my grandpa off before his surgery. All of us grand-kids were excused out of school. After his procedure, we waited for 4 days for him to wake up, but sadly, he didn't and was announced dead. My family didn't celebrate Christmas that year.

    Sprained Ankle

I sprained my right ankle by landing on it wrong while jumping in a bouncy house before our Halloween party started. I missed out on being able to go to haunted houses and going Trick-O-Treating with my friends and family that year. I missed a whole week of school and it kind of sucked, but I managed to keep my grades up that school year.

    Baby Baby Baby

My uncle that got married back in '08, remarried in 2014. Then in 2015, my uncle's wife gave birth to the little girl who has my grandma's name. Then in 2016, our family was blessed with another baby girl (my uncle and his wife's second daughter), whom they gave to one of my aunties to adopt because she wasn't able to have children. And last but not least, my aunt gave birth to another girl in July of 2017!
  • Wedding Bells Pt. 1

Last year in March, my dad's little sister, whom is more of an older sister to me than an aunt, got engaged to the love off her life. The groom-to-be's family came to my grandma's house with gifts, asking for the hand of my aunt in marriage. Our family was well prepared with gifts to give back to the groom's family, and with food and drinks for everyone that came to celebrate.
  • Wedding Bells Pt. 2

After the engagement, both sides of the family were very busy preparing for the wedding. The week before the wedding was Spring Break, me and a few family members spent our Spring Break helping our grandma and aunts fold and prepare Tapa clothes for the wedding as well as learning dances. The whole week of the wedding consisted of HUGE family dinners because so many people came from out of town and out from foreign countries! Like any other wedding, it went smoothly with the occasional chaos.
