On this particular date this was the day that my biological father figured that he did not want to have anything to do with me and my mother after he had gotten her pregnant while also being married. This event showed just how your own father could be that he made this mistake by doing this and want to erase it all by just not having anything to do with you. It shaped me to really never let my guard down and most of the time that's why I have trust issues. -

Struggling
By now I was old enough to almost know exactly what was going on we were jumping from house to house because my mom was unemployed. Sometimes we would stay at random peoples house some she barely knew we would often sleep on the floor or on there couches for days at a time. This event shaped me in a way that I can't explain it touches a side of me that I never want to go back to. -
Given a second Chance
My biological mother had been friends with a girl she knew out of high school and we were staying at there house for a while her mother mostly kept me all of the time while my mom went out and partied. She saw how little she cared at the time and offered to adopt me from her. Without this chance there is no telling where I would be or what I would be doing if I would not have gotten a second chance to live a better life and I thank God for that because these things happen for a reason. -
Adoption Day
On this day I was introduced to my new family. I had now been adopted and no longer had to worry about eating or wondering where we were going to stay for the night. Melissa and Darrel Ashley welcomed me into there home with open arms and were glad that I was a new edition to the family. With me being adopted it opened more doors for me that at the time were not even possible it gave me opportunities that helped me become the person I am today . -
First time selected to play on an all-star team
