Share PD Plan with Leadership
This plan will be shared with the Leadership team to share the plan and expectations with grade level representatives to gain input and feedback. -
Plan PD for 2017-2018
Meet with current Tech Know teachers, site PD Coach, and Assistant Principal to plan professional development opportunities for next year. Discuss creating a Technology Cadre. -
Kick Off Party for Technology Cadre
Throw a Tech Party to get staff excited about joining the Technology Cadre which will guide the professional development opportunities for the 2017-2018 school year. These staff members will be the instrumental in providing and supporting each other on this journey. -
Tech Cadre Meetings
The team will meet monthly to discuss planning and monitoring professional development activities. The team will present the content and feedback collected after each session. The team will discuss the feedback and use it to plan for the next session. Minutes, agendas, and feedback will be used to monitor progress. -
Planning for Instruction 1
For those teachers in the Tech Cadre, observations will focus on utilizing technology in planning for instruction. Colleagues will support each other in planning inquiry lessons at least once each semester. -
Planning for Instruction 2
Grade level teams will discuss first semester lesson outcomes and plan inquiry lessons for second semester. -
Mid-Year Celebration
Grade level teams will share student outcomes of first lessons with the Tech Cadre. The team will celebrate mid-year progress and plan for sharing out at staff meeting. -
Student Showcase
The Tech Cadre will plan a parent event to showcase student work, share tech tips, and provide home support to interested parents. This may be done in conjunction with Open House in April/May. -
Survey Stakeholders
Create surveys for students, parents, and staff to gather feedback on progress of year one implementation of inquiry lessons. Allow two weeks for completion. -
Survey Results
Compile survey results. Celebrate progress and discuss areas of need for next year. Plan with Tech Cadre to share out results at next staff meeting. -
Tech Cadre - Year 2 Plan
The team will review the year's events, successes, needs, and plan for the 2018-2019 school year. Activities, goals, and outcomes will be discussed with teachers, site PD Coach and administration. Materials and funding will also be determined.
