  • Brown v. Board of Education

    Brown v. Board of Education
    Brown v. Board of Education was a case that spoke whether schools should keep segreation. Supreme court rule out that all school must desegragate.   • Murder of Emmett Till

    Emmett was seen flirting with a white cashie later killed by four white men, by beating the young 14 year old boy and then shooting him on the head. The four white men were freed from the criminal charge.From this murder, it initialized several civili rights movements.
  • Founding of Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) & Martin Luther King

  • Little Rock Nine & Central High School

    Nine black students enrolled at formerly all-white Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas.Daisy Bates helped these nine students ingress to the school in the South were they were still being segregated by people even though they were allowed to attend.This trend of allowing African Americans to go to white only schools spreaded across the
    United States, allowing more integration between the races.

    Seven blacks and six whites left Washington, D.C., on two public buses bound for the Deep South.These individuals encountered various violent reactions including molotovs with fire and crowds of violent mobs. This was another event that helped by September 1961 end segregations in buses and trains.
