    Tennis Court Oath
    The king decides to have all the Estates write out their problems. Then they start voting, Each estate gets one vote and 1st and 2nd estate always vote the same so 3rd estate always loses. That causes the 3rd estate to leave and sets up the Tennis Court Oath.

    Storming the Bastille
    The people of the 3rd Estate saw the Bastille as a symbol of authority. The king would send people there if they irritated or made him mad. Inside were weapons and armor.

    Maximilien Robespierre
    Robespierre took over the French after the king and queen were killed by the new machine, Guillotined. He created The Committee of Public Safety. The Reign of Terror started and people got scared and decided to execute Robespierre on the guillotine.

    Napoleon was a successful General. Peasants were allowed to own land, and food prices were controlled so more people were fed. People started being patriotic about their country.
  • Napoleon's downfall

    Napoleon's downfall
    Napoleon wanted to conquer the surrounding countries. Once he had taken over a country he would put friends and family on the throne there. Napoleon tried to take over Russia but was defeated. At the start of the invasion, he had 600,000 troops but came back with 20,000. People saw him as a joke and exiled him to Elba. Once he escaped he had raised an army again and attacks Waterloo. In the attack he ends up being killed.
