  • Brown v. Board of Education

    The Brown v Board of Education was a case that the Supreme Court ruled that segregation in public schools was not allowed by the Constitution and got rid of the separate but equal.
  • Emmett Till murder

    Emmett Till talked with a white woman and was killed in Mississippi. He went to Chicago and he was beat and shot. Then the mother stand up and came out and spoke that this is wr0nog for any person
  • Montgomery Bus Boycott

    The Montgomery Bus Boycott happened when Rosa Parks didn't give up her seat to a white passenger on a segregated bus in Montgomery Alabama. This Boycott was protest against segregation on public transport and it was led by Martin Luther King Jr.
  • Civil Rights Act of 1957

    The Civil Rights Act of 1957 did not create new rights. it prevent people from voting and spread the support for federal enforcement of civil rights law including civil lawsuits.
  • Temple Bombing

    in 1958 the Temple was in Atlanta Georgia. The building was bad. it was a lot of racism going on and the Southern liked the Crow segregation. Which led yo violence and targeting places that they didn't like
  • New Orleans School Desegregation

    Ruby Bridges is known for being the first black child to desegregate the all white Elementary School in Louisiana during the New Orleans school desegregation crisis in 1960.
