Stakeholder Collaborative Meeting
Initial meeting introducing stakeholders to Khan Academy. This meeting will be designed to review the pros and cons of incorporating Khan Academy in our site's math classrooms. We will be reviewing how Khan Academy can assist educators in adapting to the changes in how our student's learn and keep track of their progress in real time. -
Khan Academy Training Session 1
This training session will be designed to provide hands on experience to our math teachers in using Khan Academy in their math classes. It will help increase their awareness to the various useful tools available to teachers within the program. -
Khan Academy Training Session 2
Training session two is designed to help educators put into practice what they've learned regarding Khan Academy. Educators will work in pairs so as to collaboratively assist one another in creating lesson plans and learning how to keep track of student's progress. -
Khan Academy Training Session 3
This training session will be designed to assist educators in becoming familiar with the technology (e.g., laptops) students will be using in the classroom. It will allow teachers to familiarize themselves with setup and log in procedures for students and troubleshooting technical issues quickly. -
Khan Academy Training Session 4
This training session will be designed so as to allow educators to present a lesson plan they created using Khan Academy. Educators will show their peers how the program can assist them in carrying out their lesson plan and keep track of their students progress. -
Khan Academy Goes Live
Today, teachers will introduce Khan Academy to students in their math classes. Teachers will review the benefits of Khan Academy with their students and how helpful it could be to them outside the classroom. Teachers will guide their students in accessing their Khan Academy accounts and begin working on Lesson Plan 1. -
Problem Solving Class
This class will be to address any current issues educators are having regarding the Khan Academy Implementation. Hiccups are normal and this class will be designed to acknowledge and validate any frustrations or difficulties educators are having. -
What's working?
This session is designed to highlight what's working since the implementation of Khan Academy within the math classrooms. -
Continued Support
This class is designed to provide continued support to our educators in implementing Khan Academy. This class will assist educators who have continued questions or concerns regarding the program. -
Year End Review
This session is designed to celebrate educator's successes and validate any areas of concern regarding Khan Academy. Prior to summer break, it's important to highlight what has worked and what needs work in regards to the program.
