Galileo turned his telescope toward the heavens in 1610. The world was in for an awakening.Saturn, we learned, had rings. Jupiter had moons. That nebulous patch across the center of the sky called the Milky Way was not a cloud but a collection of countless stars. Hubble, the observatory, is the first major optical telescope to be placed in space, the ultimate mountaintop. The launch of Hubble telescope was very important. Hubble has made more than 1.3 million observations since its mission began in 1990. Astronomers using Hubble data have published more than 14,000 scientific papers, making it one of the most productive scientific instruments ever built, so if it's the most productive telescope, then it must be important. It takes pictures of planets and stars as it whirls around Earth at about 17,000 mph. Hubble has traveled 4 billion miles around Earth. -

Because of this telescope launch, we have kept inventing better ones to find planets and stars. Hubble has the pointing accuracy of .007 arc seconds, which is like being able to shine a laser beam focused on Franklin D. Roosevelt's head on a dime roughly 200 miles away. This is amazing, the telescope can do this quickly and easily. -

I would like to attend the launch of Hubble because it is such a significant event. It was very important, and everyone knows about the famous telescope. When somebody says Hubble, everyone knows what you are talking about. It would've been neat to be there and experience it. It would be a cool experience to be there and see what they did when they launched the Hubble. -

This event is important because everyone uses the internet. Whether they shop look up information or even get on social media. Without the internet no one would be able to do any of this. That's why the internet is so important. I wouldn't be able to do homework. The internet is used for everything and that's why it's important, because we use it for so much. -

This event shaped the future by just releasing it. If we didn't have internet the world today would be very different. We do loads of things with the internet. If we didn't have the internet we wouldn't be able to do anything we do on the internet today. -

I would like to attend this event because of it's significance. It is so important in history that i would like to be there. I would like to compare the internet then to it now, and the size of the computers too. It would be cool to see what it looked like then to what it looks like now.
