Samuel had help along the way, and together with his coleages Alfred Vail and Professor Leonard Gale, he finaly sent the first message via telegraph: "A paitient man is no loser" -
Phones, the modern telegraph
Whith the help of Alexander Grahm Bell, phones like these slowly replaced the telegraph, and tthen slowly got better. There are many phones that can be held in the palm of your hand, and some are even the size of pens!
