Spinning Jenny
Created by James Hargreaves, a machine that spins greater amounts of thread at one time to get the job done faster. It was so important because it made clothing more affordable, but the downside is that it put a lot of people out of work. -
Water Frame
Created by Richard Arkwright, powered by water. It was a large spinning machine, only used when cloth was made by hand. It is so different because it utilizes hydroelectric energy( Electricity made from moving water). One advantage would be that you could use water to power instead of any other source. One disadvantage is that you needed water to power it and if you didn't have water it couldn't work. This led to many factories being created. -
Spinning Mule
Created by Samuel Crompton. The spinning mule gave the worker more better control over the weaving process. Advantage: Many different of yarn could be produce.Disadvantage: Caused an increase in slavery. -
Watt Steam Engine
Created by James Watt. The first type of steam engine to make use of steam. Helped raise coal from the mines. Although the steam was a invention it was a waste of steam and fuel. -
Nautilus
Created by Robert Fulton. The first working submarine. Fulton wanted his naval invention to be used for protection, but sadly his inventions weren't used until after he died. -
Steam Railway Locomotive
Created by Richard Trevithick. A railway locomotive that runs off of steam. Changed the way we transport goods and travel. -

Created by George Stevenson. The first successful steam engine. Led to many trains to be created later on. -
Bessemer Converter
Created by Henry Bessemer.First non expensive process for steel production. Reduced the time it took to produce steel. -
Pasteurization
Created by Louis Pasteur. Process of killing bacteria by heating at a certain temperature. This prevented people from getting diseases like tuberculosis. Can be performed in your own home if you have a cow and a stove. -
Phonograph
Created by Thomas Edison. Used to play records or to record music. The first way to play back music. Made music available for entertainment. Introduced the technology used for talking dolls. -
Tesla Coil
Created by Nikola Tesla.One of the key elements to the radio. Known as " the heart of every TV, radio, and vcr". It conducts electricity and magnifies it. The Tesla Coil caused a lot of medical problems.
