    Meeting between the three estates in Versailles to vote if taxation should be implemented on the second estate. King Louis had to call for this meeting because people were unhappy with taxation. This is important because it was the start of the French revolution.

    Representatives of the third estate decided to stay until a new constitution was established (National Assembly.) This was important because it lead to the creation of the National Assembly. This leads to the Tennis Court oath.

    Since most part of the population of France was unhappy with the decisions being made by the government, a large group of protestors attacked the prison of Bastille since it represented a symbol of monarchy and dictatorship.
