Safety
They obtain boilers and other components that produce heat. This makes it so you have to watch what you are doing. If the boiler leaks it can cause ans explosion. Some failures may include Over-pressurisation of the boiler. Pressure vessel failure. And build up of sediment ans scale -
Why it isn't used today
It is not used today for the more time it will take to warm up the boiler. It would also have to make more energy to move a 1 tone car in today's world. It would also waste some of the worlds supply of water.
