My mother Edna Cooper birth a child named Haven Cooper on October 4, 2001. She was born in Camden Hospital like her other siblings. Being born into this world was the beginning of my life. Without me being born I wouldn't be here right now. I'm glad that my parents brought me into this world. -

Mom's first and last Cancer
Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer on her left breast. She was taking chemo for two years, and was told that she had overcome it. My mother is a cancer survivor going on 15 years. With my mother having cancer it makes me feel strong, because people don't know that women can fight a messy battle in life. I want to be successful for my mom with the education I'm fighting for to pay off all the hard work she has done for me. -

Father left the House
When my father left my mother I was very young, but I remembered my brother and I had to stay with him sometimes in a different house. Right now I still don't know what a father figure feels like because my dad was never a father to me. It sometimes bring me down but I know that my mother will bring me back up, she's been there for me and I can't take that away from her. Without having a father figure it makes me a brave and strong young lady. -
Grandmother on Her way Home
My grandma died when I was 13. I was in shock and devastated when she died. She always told me to get my education. Back in her days her color could not get a lot of education, she only had a 6th grade education. That strives me to graduated high school and get a college degree. I want my grandma to know her granddaughter can get education like everybody else. -

Uncle Shorty
Uncle Shorty died when I was 15 years old, he was like a father figure to me. He loved and care about me not matter what's going on. He gave me the right answer when I asked him questions. He was a father that I never had. With him being in my life it motivates me to do better and respect others. With his legs being cut off it never stopped from doing great things. -
