    Persian War

    Persian invaded Greece, during the Persian Wars. The war began in 492 BC. The started because king Darius wanted to take over Greece because the helped the lonians to fight against the Persians.

    Golden Age of Athens

    Athens started to become powerful and wealthy after the Persian war. Golden Age started between Persian wars and Peloponnesian war. He also created a strong navy and made Athens really nice, including the building of parthenon.

    Sacrifice of the Spartans

    Spartan were protecting Greek city-states during the second Persian war. Spartans already knew they were gonna lose so they warned the people of Athens to leave and When the Persians arrived the killed about 300 spartans.

    Peloponnesian War

    Athen became really powerful as a leader of Delian League. This built a really powerful navy and had good trading. Some city-states wanted to separate from the Delian League after knowing there is no more Persian threat. After separating Athens punishes them by conquering them.

    Plague in Athens

    It was an epidemic that devastated city-states of Athens. It was during Peloponnesian War. In 3 years there was a deadly infection which infected about 75,000 to 100,000, and 25% of the population was dead.

    Peloponnesian League

    It was Greek city-states led by sparta. The goal was to form beneficial alliances and strategic, allowing states to build power and security. It was also to help fight against Athens

    Delian League

    It was alliance of Greek city-states led by Athens and was formed in 478 BCE to free from Greek cities from Persian rule and defend against Persia in case they attack. They also taxed city-states and used their navy for itself. This was disbanded after the Peloponnesian War.

    Alexander the great conquering Greece

    Alexander was one of the greatest military leader to ever live. He took over Persian Empire, but then he was at war in Thrace. When some Greek cities rebelled they would been warned.
