    The Stamp Act was a tax that Britain put on all legal documents, on certain, business agreements, and on newspapers. They didn't want taxation without representation. It was connected to the Declaration because this was the first external taxed levied toward the colonist.

    Colonists supported a boycott of English goods. Violent mobs erupted and British troops fired into a crowd, killing five people. John Adams defended the British officers in court when they were accused of murder in the Boston Massacre.

    It was a Political Protest by the colonist against the British because they taxed tea. Colonist disguised as Native Americans, boarded three tea ships in the Boston Harbor.
