The Day I was Born
It was Sunday, August 27, 2000. My mother was in the middle of her shift when her water broke, she called my dad and told him to rush over as soon as possible. They rushed over to Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow New York. My mom was in labor for 2 hours. I was born at 13:30 at 9Lbs. 5 Oz. A week later my mom was allowed to take me home to the apartment. -
Moving Day
The big day had come as it was finally moving day, I was ready to escape the terrible place I had called my home for the past 10 years. I was finally going to escape the rumors and the bullying. I was getting a brand new start 50 miles away from home in hopes that things would be different than how they were -
First week in Brewster
September 2010 came after the hurricane school started and I was excited it was a new year a new school district it was a chance for me to meet new people and make more friends. The first few days went smoothly then after about 2 days the rumors started up and here I thought that I would be escaping the rumors about me being gay, I was clearly wrong. After my first week was over I was ready to go home back to my old friends and my old school back to the people I had known my whole entire life -
My suspension
Sophomore year was a year of struggle and hardship. My great grandma was in the hospital, my other grandma was terminal and her cancer was getting worse. I didn't know how to handle myself anymore I started to make stupid choices and started doing stupid things. Things I shouldn't have been doing, which resulted in me getting suspended for 2 weeks. -
The day I came out
For years I was always fighting the rumors about me being gay even though I knew it was true I wasn't ready to admit it or for other people to know because honestly its none of their business. Then my Junior year I started to tell some friends I was gay until all of my close friends knew.Other people slowly started to find out but no one says anything about it anymore. -
Awards night 2016
Awards night is always a night of tears and joy.The tears come when the seniors go under the sword arch, the comes when the new staff takes over their new positions. From Dave Perez to Mike Dominguez Rudolph to Martine Hawthorne the Drill Team Commander sword has been passed down and I was next. I was a moment of immense joy, I had waited year after year to be picked for drill team commander and my time had finally come. After the ceremony finishes I go to the room to pick out my sword -
My Great Grandmother (Granny) Passes
After 98 years the time had come. After my granny fell and broke her hip she was sent to a nursing home. While she was in the nursing home she had passed. I was out of school during the time I was suspension I got a call from my Nana saying that my granny had passed. I couldn't believe what I had heard the women who taught me everything and was always there for me no matter what was done I felt that I had no one now I felt alone and incomplete. -
The day my dad left
My dad and I had never gotten along and I was getting tired of him never supporting me and never making an effort to help me with anything. He would always complain about having to drive me whether it was to pick me up for his weekend or it was to take me to a school event. I had finally reached the age though where I could decide if I wanted to continue to see him and I decided no after telling him that he's selfish and he only cares about himself and never appreciated me. -
My first boyfriend
August had come around and I had been talking to this guy who soon became my best friend for a couple of weeks he told me one day that he had really liked me and I really liked him after talking about it for a little while he had asked me out now not only was he my first and only boyfriend he also lived in Kentucky, we have now been dating for a month and it been the happiest month in my life. -
The day I graduate
June 2018 will be when I finally start a life on my own whether I decide to go straight into the Navy or I decide to go to college. I will be starting a life on my own without my parents.
